And thus is born a plan. What if we pull the Folger's switch and secretly
replace this virus' DNA with a copy of our broken gene? The virus goes on
to do EXACTLY what it's trained for - it puts that DNA into the cells of
people it "infects". Only it no longer knows how to make us sick, because
we took away its DNA. Instead, it does a very thorough job of doing
exactly what we wanted, putting our gene in a cell and triggering
expression of the protein we wanted.
