Conclusions: Well, there's some environmental tweaking to do. BUT, it worked in principle, and it could be tried in other systems. In patients that AREN'T lacking immune systems, genetically identical cells are a huge plus. And it MAY be possible to AVOID the ethical issues inherent in ES cells by doing these same experiments on ADULT stem cells - most of the concerns go away if you're just taking cells out of my body, fixing them, and putting them back.
